Bespoke Design

If you're looking for something totally different to the masses of  "off the shelf" wedding invitations, you're in the right place!

Every wedding is different, every couple is unique and we totally understand that you might not want the same as everyone else.   The first step in the design brief is to let us know your:

  • Quantity required
  • Wedding colours
  • The theme
  • The venue
  • Style (rustic/country/boho)
  • Culture
  • Size of wedding
  • Inspo pics (from Pinterest etc)

All of this will give us a really good feel for your likes and dislikes, and is a great starting point.   Whether we meet face to face (for local couples) or by distance, we note and save every little detail in your file for ease of reference.

The design fee starts at £150* and covers our time to create all pieces of stationery as required (invitation, details card, RSVP etc), with unlimited amends/revisions and includes all communication between us until the final sign off prior to print, mockups etc.   This process typically takes around 8 weeks (and many hours!) depending on the number of pieces of stationery needed, and the time taken to get to final sign off - particularly for multiple revisions and tweaks.

Print costs are in addition, and are calculated depending on print methods, complexity of specialised finishes and assembly etc.  Full quotations are provided in writing.  Please see below for pricing information.

There are endless possibilities with creation, so whether you have your heart set on embossed, minimalist invites, hot foil or luxury UV printed we have you covered!

*A deposit of £50 is required before design work can commence.  The balance is due at final sign off, together with print costs.

How much do your invitations cost?

This question is not as easy to answer as there are so many variables with all our work being bespoke.

Every single wedding is different, and whilst the design fee doesn't vary, the print costs do.  This is because each has different complexities in terms of print finishing and the time taken.  For instance, printing, cutting and assembling pocketfold invitations takes way more time than straightforward digital print, as does hot foil printing.

When we finish with hot foil, a custom magnesium plate (or die) needs to be made.  This takes time to design and set up artwork, and the plate making is the only part of our work that is outsourced.  Costs also vary depending on the size, and imprinting with foil is only recommended for a minimum of 40 invitations for this very reason.  Once the plate is made, it can be used for imprinting thousands of times and is often utilised across different stationery pieces.

For UV printed and embossed invitations,  material and ink costs are higher, particularly when using white and gloss ink.  The print, cut and assembly time is also longer than digital (laser) print.

The final variable is down to whether you require finishing touches to your invites such as belly bands, wax seals or vellum covers.

This is why we gather as much information as possible in order to quote accurately.  We guarantee you won't be disappointed with the service and quality of our bespoke invitations and other stationery.
